January fitness kick sessions in Verbier
This January on every Monday we will be running “Apres Ski Fitness” sessions in the exclusive Swiss ski resort, Verbier, situated at 1500m! Clients will be put through their paces in a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout with core conditioning, followed by active recovery and assisted stretching techniques.
What exactly is HIIT?..
HIIT is based on timed periods where you go all out, giving 100% effort for quick intense bursts, followed by a rest or active recovery period and this is repeated throughout the circuit. Your heart rate is elevated in this type of training and has the benefit of burning calories fast, and will carry on to do so in the 2 hours after the session – win, win ;-). Other benefits include improvement to anaerobic & aerobic fitness, blood pressure, cardiovascular health and a lower percentage of body fat. Their assisted stretching follows the PNF technique whereby Emma and Lottie will help you achieve a deeper stretch, speeding up recovery so you can hit the slopes hard the following day.

Mindful movement underpins their philosophy and their fun sessions aim to promote an agile, fit, strong and injury free body leaving you with a lasting feeling of energy and vitality.
Their innovative sessions are based around functional fitness, primal movement patterns and using the body as a whole – expect activities such as squats, planks, mountain climbers, animal flow, plyometrics & the good old ‘pyramid of death’… you’ll have to come along to find out what this arm sequence entails! 😉
Suitable for all fitness levels…
Exercises will be executed with correct technique and classes are suitable for all levels of fitness. So even if you’ve never been to a group class before, now’s your chance to join in the fun. Both trainers will be guiding you through each step so you can give your best performance with correct movement patterns. All you need is to don your lycra and trainers and join us in Le Bec at 5:30pm with water, yoga mat (if you have one) and an open mind to learn new, fun exercises.
